The criminal justice system can be very intimidating and difficult to navigate. A criminal charge is very serious and the consequence of a having a criminal record far reaching. Having an attorney that you can count on to protect your rights and advocate for you will make all the difference.
Any criminal charge will have an impact on a person's immigration status if they are not a United States citizen. An attorney that practices in both criminal defense and immigration understands the potentially devastating consequences of a criminal conviction on a person's immigration status. This knowledge is very important.
What drives me to practice law is the opportunity to help someone navigate and resolve a difficult situation, particularly when it comes to the criminal justice system. Driving with a suspended license, an argument that got out of control, being in the wrong place at the wrong time; many unfortunate situations can easily land one behind bars and no one wants to wake up in jail. I’ve yet to meet someone who was eager to go court to answer to charges either, it’s simply not a pleasant experience.
I went to law school because I wanted to help people. Although I specialize in criminal defense, I also have significant experience in immigration law. These two fields are inextricably intertwined because criminal charges can have devastating consequences on a person’s immigration status. My experience in both areas helps me to to provide more comprehensive advise and better representation.
I also have experience in family law, but I don’t take many cases in this area of practice. I believe managing my case load wisely is in the best interest of my clients. But if I can’t help you, I’ll refer you to a colleague whom I know you can trust.
I normally personally answer the phone. I think it is essential for a client to be able to communicate directly with their attorney.
I look forward to having the opportunity to help you. Feel free to call anytime.
